Treehouse Tech Group (TTG), 2022 - Present

Solutions Architect

Serve as the lead for projects including cloud acceleration, investment due diligence, IT audits, cost optimization and full stack builds. Work with the sales team to deliver RFPs, discovery decks, architecture plans and POCs.  Solutions span on-prem, AWS, and Azure. Recent year-long project involved building an enterprise analytics solution as the start of a cloud transformation strategy. Worked directly with the investment team, executives, and new staff to own the solution. Recent tools include Fivetran, Azure Data Factory, dbt, MS-SQL, Azure SQL and Snowflake with build using Github Actions and Terraform.

Readcoor (RC), 2017 - 2021

Senior Software Engineer

Pioneered FISSEQ spatial data modeling using PostGIS, PDAL, and Potree. Built primary data processing flows including on-device data egress and secondary analysis for bioinformatics using Nextflow. Established platform infrastructure in AWS and deployed Direct Connect to transmit 5TB data models. Managed all IT and lab systems including Mandiant Fireeye cybersecurity. Deployed redundant lab link which sustained research during fiber incident for non-essential staff working remote in early pandemic lockdown.

Dynamic Network Services (Dyn), 2011 - 2017

Database Architect, DBA, Manager, Principal Engineer

Built the DynECT DNS platform and increased scale by orders of magnitude. Supported 25% Q/Q growth over 5 years. Half a dozen databases grew to a fleet in the hundreds and supported hundreds of resolvers across several products over 25 data centers. Planned and deployed all upgrades delivering 100% resolution uptime and three 9s API and secondary services. Was the primary escalation contact for over half of revenue and goto technical contact for pre-sales efforts including Redhat, Paypal, AWS, Acquia and others. Built an entire high availability streaming data integration system to win business for customers with exceptional cybersecurity analysis requirements. Worked closely with CDNs like Fastly for edge network optimization. Significant contributor to customer trust through conference speaking, delivering webinars, contributing to training materials, blog posts and client solutions.

Institute for Health Metrics (IHM), 2010 - 2011

Software Engineer, DBA

Significant contributor to first ever Meaningful Use implementation backed by MongoDB and Groovy. Designed and deployed a regression suite system using FitNesse which established indicator validity and automated contributions by non-technical clinicians. Migrated Oracle implementation to PostgreSQL. Supported production deployments for over 50 clinical entities (EPIC) and on-premises HIPAA compliance.
